Developer Tripwire Interactive has announced the opening of its own publishing division, Tripwire Presents, which will be releasing new games. The first project will be the tactical strategy game Norse, which was announced along with a teaser trailer:

Here's What We Know

The game is being developed by Arctic Hazard and takes players to the dark times of early medieval Norway. The protagonist is a young warrior named Gunnar, who embarks on a dangerous journey for revenge.

The story begins with the murder of Gunnar's father, Jarl Gripr, who is treacherously killed by Steinarr Far-Spear, who then usurps his power. Players will have to find allies, expand their settlement, create a combat-ready squad and challenge the enemy.

The gameplay of Norse will combine tactical strategy, turn-based battles, and non-linear solutions. The script is written by the famous writer Giles Kristian, author of the Sunday Times bestsellers, including the King Arthur trilogy.

Where To Play

Norse is being developed for PC. The release date is not yet known.
