After a long pause, Konami has presented a new trailer for Silent Hill f, which is part of the revival of the Silent Hill series. This project, developed by NeoBards Entertainment, takes players to the 1960s in rural Japan, which is a significant departure from the traditional American setting of the series.

Here's What We Know

In the new trailer, we get to know the main character, Shimizu Hinako, an ordinary teenage girl who faces terrible events in her hometown of Ebisugaoka.

Based on the real-life town of Kanayama in Gifu Prefecture, the town is shrouded in fog and full of creepy creatures. Players will have to explore this changed city, solve puzzles and fight strange enemies, while making decisions that will affect the development of the plot.

Silent Hill f retains the psychological horror elements known to fans of the series, but also introduces Japanese cultural motifs. One of the central themes of the game is "beauty in terror", which reflects the Japanese idea that excessive beauty can be a source of anxiety.

The game's music is composed by Akira Yamaoka, the composer of the Silent Hill series, who created the music for the "foggy world" of Ebisugaoka. The music for the "other world" (known as the Dark Sanctuary in Silent Hill f) is composed by Kensuke Inage, known for his work on Tekken 8 and Samurai Showdown. His compositions combine elements of ancient Japanese court music with modern ambient sounds, which enhances the player's emotional connection with the main character.

Currently, the exact release date of Silent Hill f has not been announced, but it is known that the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Konami promises to share additional information in the future, so it is worth staying tuned.
