Microsoft has officially announced Xbox Copilot for Gaming, an innovative AI assistant that will become a reliable assistant for gamers. The project was presented by Fatima Kardar, Vice President of Gaming Artificial Intelligence at Xbox, on the Xbox Podcast and in an article on Xbox Wire.

Here's What We Know

According to Jeff Rubenstein, Director of Editorial at Xbox, the new tool will help you launch your favourite games faster, improve your skills, and keep in touch with friends and communities. At the same time, Copilot will remain in the background when the player does not need help.

The developers have shown how the tool will work using examples. In Minecraft, Copilot showed the player how to create wooden planks from collected oak logs. In Overwatch, the AI assistant advised to choose Cassidy when the desired hero, Echo, was already occupied, explaining that this combination would work well on the Ilios Ruins map. In addition, Copilot analyses the situation in real time, suggesting when to retreat or change tactics.

Xbox Copilot for Gaming is currently undergoing a testing phase. Initially, it will be available on mobile devices for Xbox Insider Programme members, and later it will be available to a wider audience.
