Analysts expect the new Nintendo Switch 2 console to have a starting price of at least $400, making it the most expensive Nintendo console to date. Nevertheless, the device is expected to have a successful launch thanks to a strong launch set of games.

Here's What We Know

According to analysts, the price of Switch 2 will not be less than $400, and some experts believe that it can reach $500 due to the rising costs of processor production. For comparison, the original Switch cost $299 at launch in 2017.

The Switch 2 is expected to receive a good set of games in the first year after launch, including new installments of Mario Kart, 3D Mario, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4. In addition, active support for third-party developers is expected from day one.

Analysts predict that Nintendo plans to sell between 6 and 8 million Switch 2 units on launch day. For comparison, Sony sold approximately 3.4 million units of the PlayStation 5 in the first four weeks after launch.
