UK's Overwatch and Estonia's Milrem Robotics team up to develop new drones

Overwatch, a British aerospace and defence company specialising in flying drones, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Estonian Milrem Robotics, a leading developer of autonomous ground systems.

The partnership aims to develop, manufacture and promote advanced unmanned defence solutions on the global market.

The companies will integrate Overwatch drone technology with Milrem Robotics ground unmanned vehicles to create interoperable systems that will increase the effectiveness of military operations. As part of the agreement, the parties will jointly conduct research and testing in realistic environments to improve the performance and adaptability of their developments.

Drew Michael, CEO of Overwatch, said that combining the companies' technologies will create advanced defence solutions that will meet modern security challenges. Kuldar Versi, CEO of Milrem Robotics, stressed that the cooperation will expand the product line of both companies and contribute to the development of future combat technologies.

In addition to technical integration, Overwatch and Milrem Robotics are planning a joint marketing strategy to promote their products internationally, which will open up new business opportunities in the defence sector.

Overwatch is known for its innovative developments, including the APEX drone, which is used in military and security missions. Milrem Robotics, in turn, has established itself as a leader in ground-based autonomous systems, and its UGV THeMIS is already in operation in 19 countries.
