To mark the 20th anniversary of God of War, which will be celebrated on 22 March, the developers have prepared a free update for God of War Ragnarok, which will be released on 20 March. It will add the Dark Odyssey Collection to the game, a set that refers to the working title of the first part of the series. The main element will be the black and gold colour of Kratos, available without the need to play the game on the highest difficulty.

Here's What We Know

In addition to the unique look of the protagonist, players will receive a full set of Dark Odyssey armour, including a breastplate, armour and a belt. The update will also add similar armour for Atreus and Freya, and Leviathan, Chaos Blades, and Draupnir Spear will receive a new look along with new modifications - though only for fully upgraded weapons.

In addition, all shields will receive Dark Odyssey-esque designs, and along with this, the game will add the Edit Appearance feature, which will allow you to change the appearance of equipment items.

As for the rumours about the remaster of the original trilogy or a new project that will tell about Kratos' youth in Greece, there is no news yet. But fans should stay tuned for further announcements.
