Bulletstorm and Painkiller authors are creating a prototype game based on one of the PlayStation franchises: People Can Fly has signed a deal with Sony
Polish studio People Can Fly has announced unexpected and interesting news about its cooperation with Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Here's What We Know
The authors of Bulletstorm, Painkiller, Gears of War: Judgment and Outriders will develop a prototype game based on one of Sony's franchises. The Japanese company will act as a publisher, and People Can Fly will become a contractor, which will perform the work in stages.
The co-operation agreement mentions a game codenamed Projekt Delta and the wording gives the impression that at this point the parties are unsure if the game will make it to release.
Nothing is known about Projekt Delta yet, but we can assume that it will be a service game, as Sony's internal studios excel at producing single-player story games, but they have big problems with service games.
It is noteworthy that at the moment People Can Fly is also working with Microsoft, being directly involved in the development of the shooter Gears of War: E-Day together with The Coalition studio.
