This year's Call of Duty may get six maps in Zombie mode and new large-scale locations
According to Insider Gaming, the upcoming Call of Duty, which is being developed by Treyarch Games, may feature six full-fledged maps for the Zombies mode during the game's lifecycle. It is expected that this part will be a sequel to Black Ops 2 and will bring back the legendary team of zombie hunters, which further fuels the interest of fans.
Here's What We Know
In the early stages of development, Treyarch created maps from scratch to support different game modes, including the classic round-based survival mode, Grief, and Outbreak. In addition, the studio experimented with non-standard concepts and new locations.
Among the potential ideas is a post-apocalyptic New York, destroyed by a Nazi nuclear strike after the Second World War. Another map could take players to a Japanese temple at the foot of an active volcano. Variants set in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and even on a space station in the dark dimension of the Dark Aether were also considered.
