Samsung Galaxy Ring enters another market - sales start in April

Samsung is expanding the availability of the Galaxy Ring, and the device will be available in New Zealand from April.

Official sales of the Samsung Galaxy Ring in the country will begin on 2 April. It will be available on the Samsung New Zealand website and in selected stores for NZ$699 (approximately $400/€370).

The Galaxy Ring is available in three variants: Titanium Silver, Titanium Black and Titanium Gold. There are 11 sizes available, ranging from 5 to 15. The weight of the device depends on the size and ranges from 2.3-3 g.

The smart ring is only compatible with Android 11 and later smartphones. It requires a Samsung account, as well as the Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Health apps. iPhone owners will not be able to use this device as it does not support iOS.

This adds to the list of 38 countries where the device is already available. The ring is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 18 to 23.5 mAh and a charging case with a 361 mAh battery. It supports Bluetooth 5.4 and is protected to 10ATM and IP68 standards. The gadget can measure heart rate, blood oxygen levels, stress, sleep quality, and track menstrual cycle and fitness activities.
