Find My Device now lets you see real-time locations of friends and family

Google has updated its Find My Device app and added a new People tab. Now you can see the geolocation of contacts who have shared their location.
Here's What We Know
This update is available for Android users and was announced as part of the March Pixel Drop. The new feature was launched this week, as reported by 9to5Google.
Now users can see the current location of approved contacts on the map in the app. In addition, you can see a list with the addresses of their current positions, the distance to them and the time that has passed since the last update.
While Google Maps already allowed users to manage location sharing and track trusted contacts, the updated Find My Device makes it even more convenient.
In the People tab, you can see contacts who have shared their location, as well as those with whom they have shared theirs. In addition, you can change your location sharing settings or switch Google accounts at any time right in the app.
This update comes almost a year after the launch of Find My Device and brings the app closer to the capabilities of Apple's similar Find My service.
Recently, it became known that Gemini will replace Google Assistant on Android phones. The company reported that "the classic Google Assistant will no longer be available on most mobile devices". It is expected that users will be informed of the exact date of the shutdown in advance.
