Analyst says that foldable iPhones and iPads could enter the market by 2027

Apple will start producing foldable iPhones and iPads next year. This was reported by analyst Jeff Pu.
Here's What We Know
In his report for GF Securities, he said that the devices have entered the "New Product Introduction" (NPI) phase at Foxconn factories. Mass production of complex devices is expected to start in the second half of 2026.
The analyst noted that the first prototypes of foldable iPhones and iPads will be presented in April this year. Although Pu did not disclose any details about the gadgets, it is likely that we are talking about a foldable iPhone with an internal display of up to 8 inches and a foldable iPad with a screen of up to 19 inches.
Pu also stressed that the forecasts for iPhone sales in 2025 are not very optimistic, as the launch of Siri's personalised features has been postponed until next year. He expects foldable devices to help Foxconn significantly increase profits in 2026.
Rumours of foldable iPhones and iPads have been circulating for several years now, and it looks like it will soon become a reality, barring any significant delays. Depending on when mass production begins, the new products could hit the market in late 2026 or 2027.
Apple also considered making the iPhone 17 Air the first fully wireless smartphone by ditching USB-C and relying on MagSafe. However, in the end, the company decided to keep the charging port. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the iPhone 17 Air will receive some features from the iPhone 16 Pro, including ProMotion and Camera Control.
