LG Display launches 45-inch OLED monitor for gamers with 5K2K and 330Hz resolution

LG Display has announced the launch of mass production of a 45-inch OLED monitor screen designed specifically for gamers.
Here's What We Know
The new product has a 5K2K resolution (5120×2160), which is the highest level for OLED panels in the gaming category. The screen contains more than 11 million pixels, which is five times more than the standard Full HD (1920×1080) and 1.3 times more than UHD (3840×2160). This provides an extremely sharp image for both gaming and professional applications such as graphic design.
The maximum screen brightness is 1300 nits, a record for OLED monitors, which significantly improves contrast for realistic images. A special polariser reduces glare and delivers deep blacks even in bright environments.
Users can choose between two modes thanks to LG's Dynamic Frequency Resolution (DFR) technology: 330Hz at Full HD for fast-paced gaming or 165Hz at 5K2K for high-resolution content.
The screen has a 21:9 aspect ratio, which is suitable for watching movies and multitasking. LG claims that its panel emits 50% less blue light than LCD screens and completely eliminates flicker. This reduces eye strain during prolonged use.
The company plans to expand its Gaming OLED line to include panels from 27 to 45 inches.
LG recently released a new 4K UltraGear monitor for gamers with webOS support.
