Gamers paid attention to the fact that six Electronic Arts games were removed from the Steam catalogue at once.
Here's What We Know
According to public information from SteamDB, the games were removed on 14 March at the publisher's request.
All six projects were developed or published by the British company Codemasters, which in 2021 became part of Electronic Arts and specialises in racing games.
The following projects are no longer available on Steam:
- Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising;
- Toybox Turbos;
- Rise of the Argonauts;
- Maelstrom: The Battle for Earth Begins;
- Damnation;
- Hospital Tycoon.
Neither Codemasters nor Electronic Arts have yet announced the reason for the removal of the games, but usually such situations are related to copyrights or licences and sometimes games are returned to sale after legal issues are resolved.
