Twitter logo from the San Francisco headquarters is up for auction: starting price $21,664

The Twitter logo that once adorned the company's headquarters in San Francisco is now available for purchase. The 12-foot bird, which has become one of the most recognisable symbols of the social network, is up for auction. According to the estimates of the auction house RR Auction, its price can reach $40,000.
Here's What We Know
The massive 560-pound logo was dismantled after Elon Musk changed Twitter's branding to X. This sign, which adorned a building on Market Street, became one of the most famous symbols of the company. At the moment, the amount of bids at the auction is $21,664, but analysts predict that it can grow significantly before the end of the auction.
Potential buyers should take into account not only the cost of the logo but also the cost of its transportation. The logo, which measures 145˝ x 105˝ (approximately 12 feet by 8 feet), will require a crane and a team of workers to move from its current storage facility in San Francisco. A YouTube video shows the difficulty of removing the sign from the building.

This is not the first time the Twitter logo has been auctioned off. After Elon Musk acquired the company in 2022, much of the property from Twitter's offices was put up for sale, including smaller versions of the logo. One of these statuettes was sold for $100,000 in 2023, while another large logo found a new owner for an unknown price.
