Penguin star Colin Farrell may appear in another DC project - a film about Sergeant Rock

Colin Farrell, who gained recognition for his role as the Penguin in The Batman and The Penguin series, is currently in talks to direct a new DC project, a Sgt. Rock film to be directed by Luca Guadagnino. The story will take viewers back to the Second World War, where Farrell would play the role of the fearless leader of the Easy Company, fighting against German troops in Europe.

Here's What We Know

Sgt. Rock is a character created by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert who first appeared in comic books in 1959. This series has become one of the longest running in DC Comics. Previously, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis were also considered for the role during numerous attempts to adapt the character for the big screen.

The screenplay for the film was written by Justin Kuritskes, known for his work on Challengers and Queer.

If a deal is reached, filming will begin this summer in England.

And thanks to the fact that The Batman exists in a separate universe, there should be no problems with the participation in the project in the general DC world.
