'The Not Very Grand Tour': Clarkson, Hammond and May reunite in new show

Fans of cars and British humour can exhale - Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will be back on screens together. Despite an emotional farewell in the finale of 'The Grand Tour' last year, the legendary trio are set to star in another show, which will be released as early as 18 April 2025.

Here's What We Know

The show is called 'The Not Very Grand Tour'. It's described by the British Board of Film Classification(BBFC) as a 'car comedy documentary series'. The first episode is called 'The Glory and The Power' and focuses on the legacy of the internal combustion engine. Viewers are promised archive footage from past adventures and test drives.

The project was directed by Phil Churchward, who has worked on 'Top Gear' for the BBC and 'The Grand Tour' for Amazon Prime, among others. Filming took place in July 2024. Amazon Media EU is listed as the distributor.

A finale that wasn't a finale

The trio of presenters first came together on the BBC show 'Top Gear' in 2002 before moving to Amazon to work on the series 'The Grand Tour'.

The final instalment of 'The Grand Tour: One for the Road' in 2024 was to be the trio's swan song. Clarkson even claimed that he would "no longer talk about cars on television" because he was "too old and fat to get into the cars he likes and has no interest in driving the ones he doesn't".

It was also reported last year that Clarkson, Hammond and May had dissolved their production company and appointed a liquidator for the joint business.
