You can now become a Ghoul in Fallout 76 with The Ghoul Within update

Bethesda has released The Ghoul Within update for Fallout 76, which allows players to transform into a ghoul. This innovation became available with the beginning of the 20th season of the game called Glow of the Ghoul.

Here's What We Know

Players who have reached level 50 can complete the new Leap of Faith quest, after which they will be able to become a Ghoul. The transformation provides unique benefits, such as immunity to radiation and access to 30 new perks that allow you to create new playstyles.

However, the life of a Ghoul has its own peculiarities. Players need to monitor the Feral Meter level, which replaces the usual indicators of hunger and thirst. If you do not control this indicator, the character can become a wild gul, which will negatively affect his characteristics. Additionally, NPCs and factions will react differently to the gul: some may refuse to interact, requiring the use of disguises to access certain areas, such as the Brotherhood of Steel base.

In addition to the ability to become a gul'ah, the update offers:

  • A new Leap of Faith quest and a new location in Savage Divide.
  • Gully themes for C.A.M.P. items, including the radioactive Goo-Tub.
  • The Big Bloom seasonal event, which will start on 29 April.

If the player decides to return to human form, it can be done for free once. The repeated transformation into a goo will require the purchase of a special token.
