"Dronopad" has already destroyed 1022 reconnaissance UAVs worth UAH 2.7 billion

In the seven months of the"Dronopad" project of theCome Back Alive Foundation, 1022 Russian reconnaissance UAVs have been destroyed. This was announced on his Facebook page by Taras Chmut, the head of the foundation. According to his estimates, the total cost of the destroyed equipment was 2.7 billion hryvnias. While the foundation spent 229 million hryvnias on the Drone Predator for 55 military units.

  • 64 other types of aircraft: "Merlins, Lancets, Molniya, etc.

What is included in the Drone Drop project

The Come Back Alive Foundation provides the military with a range of equipment to defeat reconnaissance drones: pickups and beads, starliners, laptops, monitors, radios, antennas, generators, electronic warfare equipment, ground radios and anti-aircraft FPVs. As of today, 9687 pieces of equipment have been delivered, including

  • 2903 units of other auxiliary equipment

About Zala UAVs

The Zala UAV is a series of Russian drones developed by the Zala Aero Group (Kalashnikov Concern) for reconnaissance, fire control and strike operations. The main models are the Zala 421-16E, Zala 421-08 and the Zala Lancet strike drone. The Zala 421-16E has a wingspan of 2.8 m, a weight of 10.5 kg, a speed of up to 150 km/h and a range of up to 150 km, and is equipped with optical and thermal imaging cameras and electronic warfare. The more compact Zala 421-08 weighs 4 kg and can operate at a range of up to 50 km. The Zala Lancet is a kamikaze drone with a 1.3 m wingspan, speed of up to 110 km/h and a warhead of up to 3 kg, which has a guidance system with optical and television channels. They can be launched by catapult or by hand, and can land by parachute or in a vulnerable "hard landing" mode. Although these drones have autonomous navigation and low visibility, they are vulnerable to Ukrainian electronic warfare and air defence systems, which is why they are often intercepted or lose communication.

About the Supercam UAV

Supercam UAVs are a series of Russian reconnaissance drones from SKYROBOTICS designed for aerial photography, surveillance and fire control. The most common models are the Supercam S350, S150 and S100, which differ in size and performance. The Supercam S350 has a wingspan of 3.5 m, a maximum take-off weight of 12 kg, speeds of up to 120 km/h and a flight time of up to 4 hours, while smaller versions have a shorter range and autonomy. The UAVs are equipped with optical and thermal imaging cameras, GLONASS/GPS navigation and can operate in difficult weather conditions. They can be launched by hand or catapult, and land by parachute or fuselage landing. The Supercam is considered stealthy due to its electric motor, but its effectiveness is limited by Ukraine's electronic warfare and air defence systems, which often causes the drones to lose control or be destroyed.

About the Orlan UAV

The Orlan-10 UAV is a Russian reconnaissance drone that has a wingspan of 3.1 m, a length of 2 m and a weight of about 15 kg. It is equipped with optical and infrared cameras, electronic warfare equipment and communication repeaters, which allows it to conduct surveillance and adjust artillery fire. It has a maximum speed of 150 km/h, an operating altitude of up to 5 km, and an airborne time of up to 18 hours. It is launched from a catapult and landed by parachute. "The Orlan-10 is actively used by the Russian army, but is vulnerable to Ukrainian electronic warfare and air defence systems.
