Claude 3.7 Sonnet chatbot can now search the web: available for users in the US

Anthropic has announced a new feature for its chatbot Claude: it can now search for information on the Internet. This feature is available for US subscribers, who can activate it through their profile settings.
Here's What We Know
Previously, Claude's knowledge was limited to information up to October 2024, which meant that it could not always provide accurate answers to queries about current events. Now, thanks to web search, Claude has access to the most up-to-date data, which improves the accuracy of his answers, especially for queries about breaking news. Claude 3.7 Sonnet was the first chatbot to combine speed and the ability to solve problems in detail, allowing users to easily switch between different modes of thinking. Now with the new web search feature, the bot is even more powerful, providing more accurate and up-to-date information. Anthropic also plans to expand access to this feature to free plan users in other countries.
OpenAI began rolling out ChatGPT search to subscribers last autumn, and since the beginning of last February, all users, including those without a ChatGPT account, have been able to use this feature for free.
Claude 3.7 Sonnet has advanced much further in Pokémon Red compared to previous versions. In addition, AI has become more useful for programmers: it can find errors in the code, create software solutions, and even interact with GitHub to help edit and test complex projects.
