The Dark Space modder, who created a modification for Grand Theft Auto 5 with a map from the upcoming GTA 6, was forced to stop working on the project after receiving a takedown request from Take-Two.

Here's What We Know

Dark Space developed a free mod that added a map to GTA 5 based on the rainstorms and official GTA 6 trailers. In January, this mod gained popularity among fans who wanted to look into the future world of the game.

However, Take-Two recently requested the removal of the content, which led to the modder receiving a warning on YouTube. Fearing that the channel would be blocked, Dark Space removed all links to the mod's download, although the company did not directly request it. He suggested that the mod might have been "too accurate" and "could have ruined the surprise" for players.

In a comment to IGN, the modder said: "I expected this to happen given their previous actions to remove content. I started this project knowing that this was a possibility, and it doesn't surprise me that it happened."
