Tom Henderson: Nintendo is preparing a three-stage launch of games for Switch 2
One of the most respected gaming insiders Tom Henderson attended the major GDC 2025 conference and spoke to developers and representatives of various companies. The journalist learnt their opinions on Nintendo's plans for Switch 2 and was quick to share them with his readers.
Here's What We Know
According to the insider, most of the conference participants are confident that Switch 2 will go on sale in June. This opinion, remember, has been voiced many times by analysts, experts and representatives of gaming companies.
Henderson said that next week Nintendo will hold a seminar for developers and journalists, where they will learn the main details of Switch 2 and the launch line-up of games for the console.
The journalist also learnt that Nintendo will follow a three-phase game release plan, whereby the Switch 2 launch will be accompanied by the release of several major titles from Nintendo, with a number of third-party games expected to be released in October-November, and a third wave of releases in December.
As a reminder, a special Nintendo Direct will take place as early as April 2, where the company promises to publicly reveal important information about the console and games for it, and rumour has it that a small show dedicated to Nintendo partner games will take place this week (probably March 26).
