The Last of Us showrunners hint at a special episode in the second season, similar to the episode about Bill and Frank
The showrunners of The Last of Us, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, promise viewers a special episode in the second season, which can be compared in emotional content to the story of Bill and Frank from the first season.
Here's What We Know
During the press conference, Maisin noted that he and Druckmann did not want to repeat the success of the Bill and Frank episode, but to create something unique: "We didn't want to just say, 'Oh, people liked the Bill and Frank episode. Let's do another special episode in season two'. It had to happen naturally. But I will say that there's a great episode this season directed by Neil that's different - it's not Bill and Frank, but it's unique in its own way, because that's what it's supposed to be. Just wait for it."
The second season of The Last of Us will consist of seven action-packed episodes that adapt some of the events of The Last of Us Part II. The season will begin five years after the events of the first season, focusing on the complex themes of revenge and moral choice.
The second season is scheduled to premiere on 13 April 2025 on HBO and Max. The first episode of the second season of The Last of Us is called Future Days and will last 1 hour.
