Don't expect The Witcher 4 to be released before 2027

CD Projekt's Chief Financial Officer Piotr Nielubowicz has officially announced that the release of the fourth instalment of The Witcher series will take place no earlier than 2027.

Here's What We Know

The Witcher 4 will be the first game in a new trilogy that will expand the universe of the popular fantasy franchise. The game development went into full-scale production in November 2024. In December of the same year, a cinematic trailer was presented at The Game Awards, which confirmed that the main character would be Ciri, the adopted daughter of Geralt of Rivia.

Also, after the problematic launch of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt is trying to be more careful in its marketing strategies and avoid overpromising the release date and features of the game, so we will get more information closer to the release.
