Microsoft prepares Windows 11 25H2 update: bug fixes and new features
Microsoft is preparing a new update for Windows 11, and some details have already been revealed. The update is likely to be called 25H2, and it will contain both bug fixes and new features.
Here's What We Know
Several important improvements have already been confirmed.
One of the main fixes concerns an issue with USB printers. Previously, such devices using IP printing sometimes accidentally printed pages with text.
In addition, a bug related to a factory reset in Windows 11 when the build version 26200 was displayed as 26100 will be fixed.
The update also brings new features, including an updated About section in the Settings. Users will now be able to see important hardware information, such as CPU and memory information, giving new users a quick overview of their system.
The new virtual keyboard mode can be customised for gamepads. This will be convenient for Surface tablet users who often work via the touchscreen. To this end, the developer has introduced a new on-screen keyboard that allows you to quickly and easily type text and navigate the system interface.
Although bug fixes are likely to appear in the near future, new features will be introduced gradually. There is speculation whether this update will be a new platform codenamed Selenium or an adapted version of 24H2 (Germanium).
According to previous release dates, Windows 11 25H2 could be available between September and October 2025.
