An iconic heroine on a new planet: a spectacular gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has been unveiled

At the Nintendo Direct show, developers from Retro Studios delighted the audience with a detailed gameplay trailer of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - the sequel to the cult franchise, which was announced back in 2017 and disappeared from the information space for many years.

Here's What We Know

Gamers were shown the adventures of the legendary mercenary Samus Aran on the new planet Viewros, where she, as always, is undergirded by surprises, dangers and serious enemies.

The developers kept the atmosphere and main features of the previous Metroid Prime parts, but enriched them with new features and modern graphics.

In terms of gameplay - it will be a first-person action game with a lot of gameplay opportunities and non-obvious ways of completing tasks and overcoming obstacles. Although sometimes the camera switches to third-person view.

When We Can Expect It

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be released in 2025. For now, we're only talking about a release on Nintendo Switch, but insiders have previously reported that a Switch 2-specific version is in development.
