Ubisoft unveiled a remake of Trackmania Nations for PC - a crazy race with stunts and focus on Cyber sports

Ubisoft held Trackmania Grand League tournament in Lyon, during which it announced a remake of the arcade races Trackmania Nations for the PC.

What is known

Studio Ubisoft Nadeo began to develop the game. According to the manager of «Hylis» studio Florent Kastelnerak, Trackmania Nations is simple in mastering the race with almost infinite number of tracks.

Players will be able to ride at the campaign tracks created by the developers, and to build their own. In addition, Ubisoft Nadeo expanded a set of tools by adding more surfaces and "special blocks" that can influence the behavior of the machine.

Contests will be Trackmania Nations' third part. Ubisoft is planning to turn the game into a service with regular events and tournaments. Thus, daily and weekly competitions will be held in the game, and also ranks will appear. Ubisoft plans to organize Grand League & Open Grand League twice a year.

Along with that, the developers will release updates with new features and blocks for track building.

Trackmania Nations will be released for PC on May 5, but the developers are still silent about the release for consoles.
