The first test results of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset in the AnTuTu benchmark have appeared on the Internet. According to data from Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, the performance of the new processor is 40.7% higher than its predecessor, Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Here's What We Know

According to him, the chipset scored 3.8 million points, which is significantly higher than the current leader of the ranking, the iQOO 13 smartphone based on Snapdragon 8 Elite, which scored about 2.7 million points.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 reportedly uses the same 2+6 architecture as the previous model, but thanks to optimisations and a switch to TSMC's new 3nm N3P process, significant performance improvements are achieved. It is rumoured that the frequency of the performance cores could reach 5.00GHz. In addition, the chipset will get a new Adreno 840 GPU and support for ARM Scalable Matrix Extension (SME) technology.

If these results are confirmed, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 promises to become the new performance standard for mobile devices. The chipset is expected to be officially released in the second half of 2025.
