WhatsApp has announced the ability to add music to statuses

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to add music to their statuses. The feature is similar to a similar feature in Instagram Stories.

A music note icon is now displayed on the screen when creating a status, which gives access to a library of songs. Users can select a track from the millions of songs available, including popular hits and new releases, as well as choose a specific song snippet. Up to 15 seconds of music is available for photo sharing, and up to 60 seconds of music is available for video sharing.

It is also specified that the status of the user will be encrypted with end-to-end encryption, so the company will not be able to see what he shares and what song is added to his status.
