Starfield could be coming to PS5 in 2024: insider reveals Microsoft and Bethesda's failed plans

As soon as Microsoft announced its intention to port its games to rival consoles, gamers began anticipating the release of Starfield RPG on PS5, with insiders and journalists sharing their guesses as to when that would happen.
Bethesda's controversial space RPG is still an Xbox console exclusive, but as it turns out, as early as 2024, that could change.
Here's What We Know
The Verge's editor-in-chief Tom Warren spoke to his Windows Central colleague Jez Corden to reveal that the developers had originally planned to release Starfield on PS5 in autumn 2024 alongside the release of the Shattered Space story add-on. However, due to the amount of work involved and the presumably poor public reaction to the DLC, Microsoft and Bethesda decided to postpone the port's release.
Tom Warren now expects Starfield to be released on Sony's console before the end of 2025, but notes that he can't guarantee 100% certainty of this information as there is still the possibility of further postponement.

As a reminder, Starfield came out in 2023 and was a disappointment for many gamers. The game turned out to be not only technically outdated, but also filled with bugs even by the standards of Bethesda games. The American studio has already released quite a few updates, but we can't say that it has significantly improved the situation. It can be assumed that the game will be released on PS5 only after it will be brought to a satisfactory state.
