The Patria 6×6 has a modular design and can be armed with a wide range of weapons according to customer requirements. The vehicle can carry up to 10 soldiers and has a crew of two.

The cooperation programme envisages the development of several variants of armoured vehicles based on the Patria 6×6, including a heavy version with enhanced armour. Germany is also working on a variant of the armoured personnel carrier with a remote-controlled 120 mm mortar system capable of firing up to 10 km both in a static position and while moving.
