In November 2024, 8BitDo unveiled a gaming mechanical keyboard and mouse in a green translucent design that was inspired by the first Xbox gaming console.

It was a logical step from 8BitDo to announce a similar controller.

Here's What We Know

The novelty is called Ultimate and is also made in the style of Xbox.

The gamepad connects to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC consoles, and is also compatible with iOS, iPadOS, Android, Apple tvOS, macOS and visionOS devices.

In terms of design, it's a standard Xbox controller, with the usual array of buttons, triggers and Hall-effect sticks. Connectivity is via Bluetooth, via a 2.4G USB transmitter, or directly with a USB-C cable.

The gamepad comes with a docking station with a 1000mAh battery that lasts for 20 hours of use.

Buyers are offered not only a translucent green controller for $69.99, but also a white and black version of the gadget for $51.99.

Pre-orders are available now, and 8BitDo Ultimate's mailing list starts on 15 May.
