It's official: Nintendo Switch 2 will have its own voice chat, but you'll have to pay for it

Shortly before the Nintendo Direct, it was reported that the manufacturer had taken into account one of the major shortcomings of the previous Switch console and would equip the new device with the ability to support voice chat, the lack of which users have been complaining about for years.
Today Nintendo officially confirmed that Switch 2 will feature voice chat.
Here's What We Know
Finally, the mysterious square "C" button on the right Joy-Con has received an official explanation: it is responsible for activating the GameChat feature, which will allow you to chat with friends.
In addition, players will be able to stream their screen image and watch similar gameplay from friends, as well as forward similar clips.
Nintendo will offer a camera to make video calls, and the microphone is built into the Switch 2's body and works in both portable and stationary modes and features noise cancelling. However, there is a nuance: like the Welcome Tour set of introductory mini-games, voice chat is not available for free. You must be a subscriber to the Nintendo Switch Online service to use it, and Nintendo will still offer a short period of free access to all new users.
