War with Canada, demolition of the Statue of Liberty and appearance of P.Diddy: South Park season 27 trailer released
After a two-year break, the cult animated series South Park has announced the release date of its 27th season - 9 July 2025 on Comedy Central. Along with the announcement, a new trailer was presented, which, in the show's typical manner, pokes fun at current events and trends.
Here's What We Know
The trailer shows scenes that hint at the key moments of the upcoming season: numerous plane crashes, the demolition of the Statue of Liberty, the appearance of P. Diddy and a possible war with Canada. The plot promises to be intense and relevant, reflecting the events of recent years.
The previous 26th season ended in February 2023. Since then, several special episodes have been released, including South Park: Joining the Panderverse (2023) and South Park: The End of Obesity (2024).
The show, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone in 1997, remains the longest-running scripted series on cable television and has been renewed until 2027.
The new season is expected to retain South Park's distinctive satirical style while continuing to comment on current events with humour and poignancy.
