Director Jared Hess and producer Torfi Frans Ólafsson hope that their film Minecraft will inspire adults to keep creating, regardless of their age.

Here's What We Know

Minecraft explores the importance of keeping the creative spark alive throughout life. Jack Black's character, Steve, temporarily abandons his creative aspirations, but later returns to the world of Minecraft, where he can create and build again. Another character, a young inventor named Henry, faces difficulties and ridicule, but learns to overcome setbacks and continue to create.

Director Jared Hess emphasises that creativity is often accompanied by fear of judgement and possible failure, but it is important to have the courage to keep creating. Producer Torfi Olafsson adds that each of us has a spark of creativity that should not be extinguished.

"People say: "No, I'm not a creative person," "I'm not an artist," "I can't do that," but deep down inside each of us there is still that spark

The film Minecraft is now available to watch in cinemas.
