Nintendo Switch 2 will get a higher-capacity battery, but battery life will be shorter than the last console

Nintendo Switch 2 remains the hottest topic in the gaming community. We already know when the console will be released, what third-party games will be ported over, what improvements Nintendo will offer to its top titles, and why there's a "C" button that's been bugging gamers.
Now it's time to find out some more important technical details.
Here's What We Know
Nintendo has revealed information about the battery capacity and battery life of the Switch 2.
So, according to official data, the console received a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 5220 mAh - this is significantly higher than the original model (4310 mAh) and the Lite version (3570 mAh).
However, with the increased power capacity, the Switch 2 has a shorter battery life than the last generation console - between 2 and 6.5 hours depending on the game.
This is because in addition to the increased battery capacity, the Switch 2 has several resource-intensive elements: the console has a 7.9″ display with 1080p resolution, HDR10 support, and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. When connected to a docking station, the resolution increases to 4K.
Part of the energy is taken away by the built-in microphone for voice communication. By the way, the console is equipped with two USB-C ports and storage for 256 GB.
It will take about three hours to fully charge the console in sleep mode, which is the same as the first Switch.
Nintendo Switch 2 sales will start on 5 June, with pre-orders opening on 8 April.
