Nintendo has revealed an extensive gameplay trailer of the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4 during its Treehouse presentation.
Here's What We Know
Viewers were presented with over 15 minutes of gameplay from the beginning of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The footage shown features an opening staged scene in which legendary bounty hunter Samus Aran travels to an uncharted planet, encounters aggressive creatures, and fights back.
Nintendo detailed the core gameplay mechanics:
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is being developed for both Switch generations, but users of Nintendo's new console can expect better graphics, improved performance and faster load times.
During the broadcast, Nintendo confirmed two modes for Metroid Prime 4 on Switch 2: 4K+60FPS and 1080p+120FPS - HDR will work in both.
Note that the years-long wait for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will not be in vain, as the game looks great and is sure to please fans of the series.
The release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is listed as "2025".
