Google's new Pixel 10 smartphones - the base model, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL - will feature cameras based on Samsung ISOCELL sensors, despite the fact that the company is abandoning the South Korean manufacturer's chipsets and modems.

Here's What We Know

It is reported by Android Authority.

According to the publication, the Pixel 10 will have a triple camera for the first time: 50 megapixel ISOCELL GN8 as the main sensor, 11 megapixel ISOCELL 3J1 as a telephoto lens, and 11 megapixel ISOCELL 3J1 for the front camera. The ultra-wide-angle module is an exception, with a 13MP Sony IMX712 sensor.

Despite the addition of a telephoto lens, the main sensor in the Pixel 10 will actually become weaker - it will replace the larger 1/1.31" ISOCELL GNV sensor used in the Pixel 9.

The Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL will have only one Samsung sensor, the 50MP ISOCELL GNV, as the main camera. All other modules (ultra-wide-angle, telephoto, and selfie) will use a 48MP Sony IMX858 sensor.

As for the upcoming foldable smartphone Pixel 10 Pro Fold, it will have a 50MP GN8 as the main camera, as well as three other Samsung ISOCELL sensors: two 12MP 3J1 (ultra-wide-angle and telephoto) and two 11MP 3K1 for the internal and external selfie cameras.

Recently, the Google Pixel 10 series was confirmed in the regulatory lists, appearing in the GSMA database. This means that Google is already in the final stages of obtaining all the necessary permits for the release of new smartphones.
