Expansion of the Neuralink programme: volunteers from around the world can now apply for implantation of the innovative neurochip

In early 2024, the first implantation of a Neuralink chip developed by one of Elon Musk's companies took place in the human brain. The chip returns "digital freedom" to people and allows them to work with computers, smartphones and other gadgets without hands.

The first user of Neuralink was Nolan Arbro, who was paralysed in an accident. The operation was successful and the man was literally able to play Sid Meier's Civilisation VI with the help of his mind.

Here's What We Know

Until now, only volunteers from the US, Canada and the UK could take part in the Neuralink testing programme, but now the startup has announced that the programme has been expanded to the whole world and everyone can leave an application for participation on the official Neuralink website.

Priority will be given to people with paralysis of most parts of the body, including upper and lower limbs.
