Doug Bowser, President of Nintendo of America, believes that Hidetaka Miyazaki's decision to release The Duskbloods exclusively for Switch 2 shows his confidence in the console's capabilities.

The Duskbloods is Miyazaki's next project after Elden Ring: Nightreign, scheduled for release in 2026. The game was presented during the Switch 2 Direct presentation, along with such announcements as Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza.

Bowser emphasised that FromSoftware's choice of Switch 2 demonstrates confidence in the console's technical characteristics and its ability to deliver ambitious game projects. It also demonstrates the significant interest of third-party developers in the Nintendo platform.
