In a recent interview, The Duskbloods director Hidetaka Miyazaki revealed that the winged rat, which can be seen at the end of the debut trailer, will be the player's main companion in the game's central location. According to Miyazaki, the character plays a similar role to the Fire Keepers from Dark Souls - he gives advice and accompanies the player, although he does not go on journeys with him.

Here's What We Know

Miyazaki explained that the appearance of the creature is an attempt by FromSoftware to do something new in the spirit of cooperation with Nintendo. He noted that the team wanted to give the character a more "cute" look, although in fact it is an "elderly gentleman".

Here's What We Know

The game combines a PvPvE format for eight participants, allowing players not only to fight among themselves but also to interact with the dangerous environment. Each character will have unique skills that will allow players to choose the style of play at their own discretion.

When We Can Expect It

Duskbloods will be released only on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
