Recently we reported that Japanese company JVC Kenwood released an unusual wireless speaker made in a wooden case and equipped with a wooden (!) 60 mm speaker.

Danish company Bang Olufsen went even further and presented a stone speaker that not everyone will be able to afford.

Here's What We Know

The Danish premium speaker manufacturer surprised the public at Milan Design Week with the Beosound Balance Natura speaker, developed in collaboration with Antolini, an Italian company that specialises in working with stone.

To celebrate the partnership, we have created a limited edition collection of 16 unique speakers, each featuring a special combination of Antolini natural stones and custom finishes from BO's Atelier catalogue.

The Beosound Balance Natura speaker features a stone base, more appropriately called a pedestal. It not only raises the speaker to the optimum height, but also draws attention to itself in any interior.

The Beosound Balance Natura pedestal is available in quartz from the Exclusive collection or petrified wood from Antolini's Precioustone collection.

Between the Bang Olufsen speaker and the stone stand is a ring of anodised aluminium, which not only serves an aesthetic function but also minimises vibration to ensure maximum sound quality.

All 16 limited edition speakers will be made to order, and their price is unknown and depends on a number of factors, but the standard version of the Beosound Balance speaker is priced at $3300.
