Tom Henderson hints that online shooter Marathon will be released by the end of 2025

We wrote that the Marathon presentation will take place at the end of this week, namely on 12 April. And although many people believed in the possibility of a "shadow" release (an unexpected release of the game immediately after the show), these hopes were not destined to come true. Nevertheless, we have hints that the game will still be released within the next 8 months.

Here's What We Know

Famous insider Tom Henderson tweeted: "Told my girlfriend I'm running a marathon later this year and she just went and signed me up for a gym."

The tweet is a clear reference to the Bungie shooter. And Tom is trying to say by all means that we will be able to play it this year.

As a reminder, several insiders said that Marathon would open applications for closed alpha testing shortly after the presentation. After that, it would be logical to conduct an open beta test and then release the game in full.

And given that Bungie released its last games in September, perhaps the first month of autumn will be the beginning of a new chapter for the studio.
