The Angry Birds Movie 3 will hit the big screens on 9 January 2027
The phenomenal Angry Birds, which conquered the world of gaming in 2009, is returning to the big screen. After two films in 2016 and 2019, The Angry Birds Movie 3 is set to be released on 9 January 2027 under the wing of Paramount Pictures, not Sony. Some of the star voices are returning to the project, as well as new talent.
Here's What We Know
Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom, and Danny McBride return in the third instalment of the franchise as Red, Chuck, Silver, and Bomb, respectively. They are joined by a new cast including Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Lily James and other well-known actors.
Producer John Cohen expressed his excitement about the partnership with Paramount Pictures and the new cast, noting that it will be a real comedy show.
Paramount Pictures has decided to release The Angry Birds Movie 3 in January, rather than during the summer season, as was the case with the previous instalments. This choice indicates that the studio wants to avoid competition and capitalise on the nostalgia for the original game and the first film, which was released in 2016.
Now we just have to wait until 2027.
