Over the last few days rumours have been floating around the web that allegedly Respawn studio is not only working on Titanfall 3, but has almost finished creating the shooter and, as insider Osvaldatore assures, will release it in 2026.

Today we reported that he published interesting but implausible details about the game and Titanfall fans got a fresh dose of optimism, as they have been waiting for a long time for at least the announcement of the new part. However, authoritative insider Jeff Grubb hastened to temper expectations.

Here's What We Know

In a podcast on GameSpot, Jeff Grubb, who has earned much more credibility than Osvaldatore over the years, stated that the rumours about Titanfall 3 have nothing to do with reality.

According to his sources, there is a small team at Respawn working on what could someday under favourable circumstances be a new game in the Titanfall universe, but it's unlikely to be a number three part and it certainly won't be released in the next few years.

Grubb doesn't know where Osvaldatore got his voiced information from and urges you not to believe it.

Don't expect Titanfall 3 with a single player campaign on Unreal Engine 5 and full multiplayer. I have no idea where all these rumours came from, but you shouldn't expect Titanfall 3 anytime soon

Well, Grubb's words are indeed more like the truth and gamers can only hope that someday they will hear the cherished words about Titanfall 3's release.
