ChatGPT now remembers everything! A new update will allow the AI to account for all conversations, not just active ones
OpenAI has released an important update for ChatGPT, so that the AI model will be able to remember and account for information from all conversations with it.
Here's What We Know
In the example given by OpenAI, a ChatGPT user asks for a reminder of what they discussed last weekend and the chatbot retells the gist of the conversation.
The head of the company Sam Altman explained that in this way his team is taking another step towards the creation of an AI agent that will accompany a person throughout his life and help him, taking into account all previous requests and wishes.
ChatGPT can link to other chats with a user either on its own or at the user's request. The feature can be disabled in the settings if desired. It is also possible to ask ChatGPT to reset its memory to zero. Such memory does not work in temporary chats.
The update is available to Plus and Pro subscribers, while Team, Enterprise and Edu users will get access within a few weeks. The new feature does not yet work in the EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
