Garmin has started rolling out the beta version of the 14.05 update for its Venu 3, Venu 3s and Vivoactive 5 smartwatches.

Here's What We Know

This is the second update in the new 14.xx testing cycle, following the release of stable version 13.19 in March, which improved the Voice Assistant experience for Android devices.

The 14.05 update addresses several important issues. One of the main ones is a bug fix in the Morning Report tool where some

s were not displaying properly.

In addition, a bug has been fixed that prevented workouts from being updated when using Garmin Coach glance. The release notes also indicate that other minor fixes and improvements have been made, but without detailing the changes.

It is not known at this time if this includes a fix for the recently reported lock screen issue that was discussed on the Garmin forum. According to several users, older beta versions caused an issue where the screen would go black when locked instead of showing the lock symbol. Although a Garmin spokesperson acknowledged the issue, no new updates have been released on the issue.

How to download

Venu 3, Venu 3s, and vivoactive 5 users can download the update by going to Settings, System, Software Update. As usual, the ECG feature is disabled for Venu 3 users during beta testing.

Garmin recently released beta 15.18 for the Enduro 3, Fenix E, and Fenix 8 with new Maps features and vibration tweaks.
