Motorola is preparing to enter the Indian laptop market with the Motobook 60. The laptop has recently received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and TUV Rheinland, indicating that it is close to launch.

Here's What We Know

According to TheTechOutlook, the Motobook 60 model with the number "14IRH10R 1" was certified on 24 February 2025. In the TUV Rheinland database, the laptop is registered under the numbers "14IRH10R" and "14IRH10R1" and has received flicker-free certification. These certifications confirm that the launch of the device in India is imminent.

Additional research shows significant similarities between the Motobook 60 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 laptop. Lenovo's support list includes models that match the Motobook 60, including "14IAH10" and "14IRH10R". This could mean that the new Motorola laptop will actually be a repackaged version of the IdeaPad Slim 5. The Motobook 60 is expected to have a 14-inch screen.

For comparison, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 is powered by Intel Core i5 or i7 H-series processors, up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 1TB SSD. It offers a WUXGA IPS or OLED display, and a 50Wh or 60Wh battery for up to 17.2 hours of battery life.

The laptop also has a 5MP or Full HD camera, multiple USB ports, HDMI, and Wi-Fi 6. The metal body weighs between 1.34 and 1.47 kg.

However, the question remains whether Motorola will add new innovations or simply introduce the familiar Lenovo design to the market.
