Apple is actively working on its own smart glasses with cameras and microphones similar to Meta Ray-Ban, but the real priority for Tim Cook is still full-fledged AR glasses. According to Bloomberg, the company's CEO is "not concerned with anything else" but the development of this device.

Here's What We Know

According to Bloomberg, these glasses will be closely integrated with the Siri voice assistant and Apple's proprietary AI technologies, including Visual Intelligence. At the same time, the company carefully weighs privacy issues - Apple does not want to repeat the Meta approach, which involves active photo and video recording of the environment.

Bloomberg notes that the current development is only an intermediate stage before the launch of full-fledged AR glasses. To bring such a product to the market, Apple needs to improve several key technologies: high-quality displays, compact and powerful chips, as well as miniature batteries that can work for hours. In addition, the company is looking for new use cases that will make the device truly essential in everyday life - just as the iPhone once did.

Despite the fact that Meta has already shown a prototype of Orion AR glasses, it is still far from mass production. Meanwhile, Tim Cook, according to insiders, is "obsessed" with the idea of creating an "industry-leading" AR product and doing it faster than Meta. This is what he focuses on the most in the development of new devices.

Apple plans to release the delayed Siri features this autumn.
