Vivo has announced the launch of its new Watch 5 smartwatch on 21 April, along with other new devices such as the X200 Ultra, X200s, and Pad 5 Pro. Compared to the previous models, the new product has received several significant improvements.

Here's What We Know

The main change is a significant battery upgrade. Vivo Watch 5 can now run for up to 22 days on a single charge, compared to 16 days for its predecessor. This was made possible by switching from Wear OS to the proprietary Blue River operating system, which consumes less power.

One of the main features of the new watch is an improved health monitoring system. Vivo Watch 5 provides a quick 30-second risk assessment of arrhythmia and other heart diseases, and supports blood pressure measurement.

It is also worth paying attention to a new feature - an AI running coach. Although the details of this feature have not yet been disclosed, it is likely to allow users to receive real-time advice and analytics to improve their running performance.

Vivo Watch 5 retains the main features of previous models: 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, side scroll button, and over 100 sports modes. The smartwatch is also equipped with stress, sleep and physical activity tracking functions, and supports Bluetooth connectivity, music control, NFC and gesture control.
