Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its new flagship Xiaomi 16 series, and a recent leak reveals interesting updates for the Pro model. After the launch of the Xiaomi 15 series on the international market, the company is likely preparing important changes for its next smartphones.

Here's What We Know

The Xiaomi 15 Pro uses a 50-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX858 periscopic telephoto lens. However, a new leak indicates a significant upgrade for the Xiaomi 16 Pro - it will get a new 50-megapixel sensor from Sony, which promises better image quality at long distances. The sensor will be larger, which will improve long-distance zoom, and new lenses with a larger aperture will provide better image quality in low light conditions.

All models in the Xiaomi 16 series are likely to feature a flat OLED display instead of the curved screens used in 2024.

The 6.8-inch screen of Xiaomi 16 Pro will use the new LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Overmolding) technology, which will reduce the thickness of the bezels and provide almost complete coverage of the front panel with the screen. This technology allows for a high screen-to-body ratio and improves visual perception.

Xiaomi 16 series smartphones will be equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, which guarantees high performance. Leaks indicate that the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro will be available in China first, with the Ultra model likely to follow later.
